Membership Sales and Service Representative
The Chamber of Commerce Membership Sales and Service Representative is responsible for recruiting new members, retaining existing ones, and achieving membership growth goals by actively identifying potential business prospects, presenting the value proposition of Chamber membership, and building strong relationships with local businesses to foster a thriving community environment. The Membership Sales and Service Representative works within the Alliance offices.
Duties:
The purpose of this position is to solicit and retain membership in the Chamber Southwest.

Makes sales calls in person and via other means to prospective members

Collects past due accounts

Makes service calls on existing members.

Assists in Coordinating the Monthly New member Orientation sessions

Attends Grand Openings and Ribbon Cuttings

Represents the Chamber SWLA with and in absence of the Vice President Chamber

Prepares a monthly report of membership and collection activities
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, preferably within a membership-based organization.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey the Chamber's value proposition.

Strong networking and relationship building abilities to connect with local businesses

Understanding of the local business community and its needs

Ability to manage a sales pipeline and meet sales targets

Proficiency in Chamber software
